Army Dog Center in Hafizabad

Hafizabad lies on the Chenab in rice-growing country, with Pindi Bhattian and Jalalpur Bhattian in the district and the Lahore to Islamabad motorway passing close to the north. Fields of paddy, canals and small villages fill most of the landscape.

Situations we are asked about in Hafizabad

• Rice stocks or farm equipment taken from a store or field.
• Motorcycles or tractors taken at night along canal roads.
• A person lost on a field path after dark in the paddy season.
• Theft from houses in villages while families were at the harvest.

Flooded paddy fields and canals make a trail hard to follow by eye, and tall crops hide movement. A trained dog follows scent along banks and field edges. Keep the area closed, keep animals and children away, and place worn clothing into a clean bag. Note which canal or field path was nearest to the spot.

Report serious crimes to the police on 15, then call Army Dog Center on 0300-5780720 at any time. Tell us the village, the time you found the loss, and what has happened.

In the paddy season, Hafizabad's fields are flooded for weeks, and farm life runs on the rhythm of irrigation turns. Thefts often happen on nights when the water is being changed, because fewer people are indoors. Tell us your village, the nearest canal or field road, and what was taken. If animals are missing, say when they were last fed or counted, since that narrows down the time.

Calls from Hafizabad are answered at any hour, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
