Army Dog Center Lodhran

Army Dog Center in Lodhran

Lodhran is a city of south Punjab on the national highway between Multan and Bahawalpur, close to the Sutlej, with Dunyapur and Kehror Pakka among the towns of the district. Cotton, wheat and mangoes grow on the plain, and canals and village tracks run in every direction from the highway.

Situations we are asked about in Lodhran

• Vehicles and motorcycles taken from the highway or from the roads toward Multan and Bahawalpur.
• Cotton, grain or farm equipment taken from a store or yard in Dunyapur or Kehror Pakka.
• Livestock driven off at night from a village along a canal.
• A person who left for the fields or the riverbank and has not returned.

Lodhran's position on a busy highway means a vehicle can be a long way off within an hour, while the farmland and canals around it give anyone leaving on foot many quiet routes. During the cotton and mango seasons extra labourers and trucks move through the district, and the Sutlej floodplain changes shape from year to year. A trained dog follows scent rather than marks, along canal banks and field edges where footprints soon disappear.

Tell us whether the incident was in the city, on the highway, in Dunyapur or Kehror Pakka, or in a village, along with the nearest canal or road. If a vehicle was taken, give its colour, make and registration, and whether it was last seen heading toward Multan or Bahawalpur. Keep people away from the exact spot, leave locks, doors and tools untouched, and put any worn clothing into a clean bag.
